Such an amazing time here with my gf. We really were able to reconnect in this cozy bed and breakfast. A nice fire in the evening and a wonderfully large porch. The no TV was a positive as well as it was so peaceful. Not far from Asheville either. I highly recommend this place. Great service.Jon1/04/2021
We stayed at the Marshall House in early October 2020 for Fall Break. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and hospitality of the owners, John and Kerstin. A very short walk up the hill from the center of town, the massive front porch overlooks downtown and the river. Several local restaurants, pubs and a grocer are all within walking distance. We definitely recommend staying here and will... read moreJohn12/19/2020
House on the hill This Inn is in a lovely renovated historic house up on a hill overlooking this quaint little town north of Asheville with views of the French Broad River and the adjacent train tracks complete with a regular freight train rolling through in the morning. The rooms are well-appointed with funky details and art and furniture made by the owners. One of the nicest Inns I have stayed at in a long time, look forward to... read moreHervitezChicatez12/06/2020
It’s a charming Inn that overlooks the town of Marshall and the French Broad River. Inn Keepers are friendly and accommodating. Beds are very comfortable. A nice selection of breakfast items. Parking is tight but easily manageable. I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s an opportunity not to be missed.Mark11/19/2020

Gilded Age + Steam Punk + Mid-century Modern=WOW We chose Marshall House Inn for a 2-night getaway during this pandemic because it was close, it’s in the middle of mountains of leaves, and, according to the website, the innkeepers are conscientious about safety. We’re glad we did. We stayed in #3: washed in light, comfy linens, lots of hot water, a kitchen table, original art on the walls, a fridge, a coffee-maker, a view of the French Broad River. I peeked into the... read moreParkranger210/13/2020

Back roads motorcycle ride trip. I towed my bike up from Savannah to Greenville and rode to Marshall from there. The Inn was exactly what I needed to escape 3 straight months of remodeling our home. The property is very clean, small (4 rooms I think), quiet and in a perfect setting up on the hill overlooking town. The bed was marvelous too. Bringing my wife back in the fall.
BTW, the riding in the area is fantastic as well for... read moreRobert9/28/2020
Lovely Old Inn in Marshall My husband and I stayed here for three nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the Inn is beautifully decorated. The fresh flowers in our room were extra special. The commons area where breakfast is served is stocked with beverages and snacks. John and Kerstin were warm and friendly hosts. I highly recommend the Marshall House Inn. We will definitely be back.B1706SYchristinam9/15/2020

Nicest place I've stayed at so far with the nicest people. (Been across country) I would recommend for anyone visiting the area or ashville. Rooms and all areas of house were super clean. Very quite and peaceful stay. Owners were spectacular and for the price it's the best value by far. Would definitely stay again.Wade9/05/2020
