It’s that time again!! The 11th Annual Mermaid Parade and Festival takes place all over Downtown Marshall on June 2nd!
Splash Island for the kids and kids at heart with an 18′ water slide, bounce house and inflated slip and slide, Food fundraisers with the Local Boy Scout Troop 521 and the Presbyterian Church! Pirate and Mermaid Story time all on Blannahassett Island, a.k.a.
“The Island” 11 am to 5 pm, Don’t forget your swim suit!
Arts and Crafts Vendor area is across the street from Mad Co Brew House, 12 pm – 7pm with Live Local Music in the vendor area and on the Court House Steps!

1st Annual Seafood Competition Cook Off with Local Professionals and Amateur! This is the only ticketed event and we partnered with Beacon of Hope Food Pantry for a canned food drive, so for every can you donate you get $1 off your ticket!! Your ticket is your vote! The public judges this one and that means you! We will have live music, beer and wine for purchase. You can purchase your entrance ticket at the door at 11 am and drop off your cans so you don’t have to carry them around all day! The Cook off is 2 pm- 4pm in the Old Arts Council Building ( 90 S. Main St. next to the Post Office )
We have a shuttle this year provided by Blue Heron Rafting! Park in the designated area at Ingles on 25/70 and get a ride into town!
The shuttle will run from 11 am to 8 pm. Tips appreciated!
The Jewel of The French Broad!! The PARADE!!
6pm Parade Launch!! Anyone can be in the Parade!! If you want to have a float in the parade please let us know by messaging the event! It is an interactive parade and it’s all about water guns this year!! We have um and you have um! There are 3 designated “war zones” which will be marked and prepare to get soaked!!
Stick around after the parade for some After Parties!! Some of the business in town will be hosting bands and performances so check the Downtown Marshall FB page for specific business details!
